Electrical Resident Engineer – Data Centres

The Opportunity

 

As a Data Centre Electrical Resident Engineer at Arup, you'll play a vital role in coordinating and delivering the electrical infrastructure for state-of-the-art data centres. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to Arup's global expertise in data centre design and construction.

 

As an Electrical Resident Engineer at Arup, you will:

  • Coordinate with client, Arup engineers, and contractors on building services work details, materials, workmanship, compliance, and site progress.
  • Supervise and lead the Building Services Inspection Team for T&C, mockup inspections, factory visits, etc.
  • Report and resolve design or installation issues.
  • Monitor and report contractors’ performance and workmanship.
  • Track work progress and attend regular or ad-hoc site meetings.
  • Respond promptly to contractors’ technical queries in collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Report regularly to Head Office and support Project Engineer/Manager in site progress reporting.
  • Perform any other tasks as required by client and Head Office.

 

 

Other qualifications and experience required for the positions:

 

  • Degree in Electrical / Building Services Engineering or equivalent
  • Not less than 5 years of relevant working experience including 2 years on-site experience in Electrical and Building Services construction works.
  • Knowledge of Dutch regulations including the NEN 1010 and NEN 3140.
